Right I’ve had the right hump today. I’ve been hungry and gagging for a beer. I’m worried that if my weigh in tomorrow goes badly I’m going to be demotivated. I’m not going to right anything more tonight and see how it goes tomorrow.
Lighterlife Day 5: Started running again!
I started running again today as I feel so good. It felt amazing. Although it was only for 10 minutes I felt lighter on my feet than I had for ages. Maybe its this “feel good” factor of going into ketosis (did I mention that yesterday? - I pee’d on a stick and it went pink - this means im in ketosis).
Well I’m well chuffed with that as the main reason I am doing this is so that I can do the things that I love and have neglected.
Anyway thats it for tonight, I’m that pleased with myself I’m rewarding myself with a short post.
Lighterlife Day 4: The first weigh-in
Well a bit annoyed actually. I’ve kept to the diet strictly but I drank 12 pints of water again. I got weighed and I’ve only lost 2.5pounds in the first four days. The counseller said this is probably down to the amount of water I drank and was still carrying. This means that I’ve got to go this Thursday for another weigh in.
There was only 2 of us men that stayed for the session, the other guy that was there has lost 17 pounds in his first week which is pretty amazing. He’s got more to lose than me and has an active job whereas I sit on me bum all day. I think I’m going to start running again.
So I only lost 2.5 pounds in the first 4 days but I feel like a different person. I had lost 2inches from my chest and 1 from my hips and waist. That part was pretty impressive.
The session itself after was also pretty good and its good to start recognising some of the reasons why we over eat and drink. I think they could be very worthwhile indeed.
I’m just hoping I drop more weight for my next weigh in on Thursday otherwise its a bit demotivating. I’m definitely not drinking more than 6 pints tomorrow.
Lighterlife Day 2: Ah, thats better.
Well after recovering from my hangover yesterday today has been a lot better. I actually feel great from drinking all that water and my skins looking the best it has for ages. I will be writing some reviews of the Lighterlife foodpacks as some are good, some are excellent and some are just atrocious. Strong words Fatboy, strong words.
The hunger has been slightly better and I’m not looking to snack as much as I was yesterday.
I am definitely not getting a Thai Chilli one again. If you are planning on doing this diet I would say try to avoid the thai chilli. You are allowed as much Tobasco Sauce as you like so I’m going to buy some of that tomorrow and going to add it to the Chicken Soup foodpack.
The shakes again have been excellent, I’ve not had time to buy a blender today with work being very busy so I’m going to go tomorrow.
Lighterlife Day 1: Hungover and not happy
First day on the Lighterlife diet and to be honest its been rubbish. I’m hoping I can put it down to the incredible hangover over I am feeling after a bottle of wine and a few beers for my last hurrah! Heres a picture of my final beer.
Ah how sweet it was, I shall miss you my good friend. Anyway, I’ve felt hungry all day and the Lighterlife Thai Chilli soup foodback, quite frankly, tasted like melted cardboard. But to fair the shakes are AWESOME. I love milkshakes anyway so thats a bonus. I think I can make them even better by using a proper blender and adding some ice so I’m going to buy a blender.
I only managed three of the packs today and was pretty hungry throughout. I’m going to go bed early now as I’m hungry! The first time I’ve gone bed before my girlfriend for a long time. I’m hoping tomorrow will be better.
The Doctors Check Up / Getting the Grub
I was kind of dreading the doctors check up that your required before going on the lighterlife diet. This is because last year I had a check up at the doctors and she took my blood pressure 3 times and said it was very high for my age (I was 26 at the time). This was my final check up with this doctor as I was moving house so she just fobbed me off with a “get it checked at your new doctors”.
Obviously being a bloke I never did this and its been in the back of my mind ever since. Well I went today and my blood pressure was perfectly normal. I was well chuffed as I’d been worrying for the past 15 months about it. So that made my day. Well I got my form signed in the morning (£15 for a signature - nice work doc!) which meant I could go and meet my Lighterlife counseller in the afternoon for my foodpacks.
I got weighed (108kg/17stone eek!) and measured up. They measure you around your belly rather than under it so I was 45 inches around my waist! This was a definite shock to the system as I’ve never been over 36inches until pretty recently. Well I hope this thing works I want to fit in my 34 jeans again which I have promised myself I will. I got a few of the foodpacks (Chicken soup, Thai Chilli soup, Banana/Strawberry/Vanilla/Chocolate/Raspberry shakes) - so I’ve got them to look forward to tomorrow :(.
Tonight I am off for my final meal for some time and a few beers. I am going to really, really enjoy it.
